General
Contractor: An experienced professional construction company that contracts for
the new construction of an entire building or project, rather than a portion of
the work. The general contractor is the primary point of responsibility for controlling
construction costs and meeting the project schedule. The general contractor hires
subcontractors to perform specific portions of the project (tiltwall contractors,
electricians, plumbers, etc.), oversees all work and is responsible for payment
to the subcontractors.
Bob Moore Construction is one of the top general contractors and project management companies in Dallas, Fort Worth, San Antonio and all around Texas and the United States. We have served as the general building contractor on commercial construction projects as small as 7,000 SF and as large as 1.3 Million SF. Our construction project management specialists have delivered warehouses, offices, distribution centers, retail stores, call centers, flex / tech facilities, manufacturing buildings and other types of commercial and industrial buildings in Texas and nationwide. Our experience in different types of commercial and industrial construction is just as diverse. Over the years we been the general construction contractor for steel buildings, prefabricated concrete buildings, tilt-up construction and traditional concrete block buildings, and many projects where two or more of those methodologies have been used.

That philosophy has allowed us to maintain relationships with leading property developers that span decades, and helped us to grow since 1946. In recognition of Bob Moore Construction's leadership and expertise in the construction industry, the company was named the AGC General Contractor of the Year and has received numerous other honors, including the Best Of Award from Texas Construction Magazine for Sports / Entertainment Facility Construction and the AGC Summit Award for Construction Excellence.
