Moore Construction was the general contractor for Cornerstone 1 Distribution Center,
a 651,000 SF warehouse and distribution center building in Flower Mound, Texas.
The Cornerstone 1 distribution center is a shell building located in the Lakeside Industrial Business Park in Flower Mound. It was built on behalf of developer Brian Flaherty and the Cornerstone Flower Mound Industrial, LP. The facility was built using tilt-up construction and features 32' clear span and extensive stonework and finishing at all four corner entrances.
This project was constructed in an undeveloped, heavily wooded area. Bob Moore Construction worked closely with the developer and the city on the tree mitigation that was necessary. Because the area was undeveloped, there were no roads during construction; those were built during the distribution center's construction. Another unique feature, the facility's detention pond is across the street from the building.
Alliance Architects was the architect for this project; Pacheco-Koch was the civil engineer.
