Martin Brower Distribution Center

Lewisville, Texas (Denton County)

Architect: WSI Architects
Developer/Owner: Bradford Companies
Approximate Size: 106,000 SF

This food storage warehouse facility in Lewisville, Texas was built as a major distribution center for the supplier of such restaurant chains as McDonald's, Red Lobster, Pizza Hut, etc. Housed within the building are three different storage areas including a 30 deg. below zero freezer section which required a below slab ventilation system; a 40 deg. cooler section; and standard warehouse storage. The refrigeration equipment is a full ammonia system with redundancy.

The building is primarily truck served; however, a rail spur was installed during the original construction to offer the flexibility of rail service. This warehouse / distribution center combines rail and truck service in the distribution of food items to seven midwestern states.
