The Martin-Brower Cold Storage Facility / Distribution Center in Lewisville, Texas was built on behalf of Bradford National Realty Services, Inc. This food storage warehouse facility in Lewisville, Texas was built for Martin-Brower, a Des Plaines, Illinois-based company that serves as a major distributor of foods for such restaurant chains as McDonald's, Red Lobster, Pizza Hut, Arbys, Taco Bueno, TCBY, Long John Silvers, etc.
The building is primarily truck served; however, a rail spur was installed during the original construction to offer the flexibility of rail service. This warehouse / distribution center combines rail and truck service in the distribution of food items to seven midwestern states.
The criteria for building this cold storage facility with warehouse and offices was unique. Housed within the building are three different storage areas including a 30 deg. below zero main freezer section which required a below slab ventilation system; a 40 deg. cooler section; and standard warehouse storage. The refrigeration equipment is a full ammonia system with redundancy.
The new cold storage facility / distribution center is primarily truck served; however, a rail spur was installed during the original construction to offer the flexibility of rail service.
