PETCO
(NASDAQ: PETC) is a leading specialty retailer of premium pet food, supplies and
services. The company operates over 800 stores in 49 states and the District of
Columbia. Each store carries more than 10,000 pet-related products and offers
services such as grooming, vaccination clinics, obedience training and photography.
Where pet owners are normally required to leave their pets in the car when they
shop, PETCO invites shoppers to bring their pets directly into the stores to participate
in the shopping experience.
Bob Moore Construction was the general contractor for the newest PETCO retail store in Mansfield, Texas, just south of Fort Worth. This construction project was built on behalf of Kossman Development Company in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Kossman Development Company was the architect for the building shell; Ignarri-Lummis Architects, LLP from Cherry Hill, NJ was the architect for the interior finish-out.
The new PETCO store features a complete pet grooming area, a large bird habitat, aquarium and reptile centers and a pet adoption center. As general contractor, Bob Moore Construction worked with 31 outside vendors contracted through PETCO for the scheduling, delivery and installation of materials. Additionally, 38 national accounts were incorporated into the project, ranging from HVAC rooftop units to cart bumpers.

- Cinemark USA Movie Theater, Mansfield Texas - The 42,265 square-foot theater features seating for 2,010 patrons and covering the building's tilt-up construction walls is a dramatic full-height stone exterior veneer, the first time this finish has ever been used on a Cinemark theater.
- Buildings 7-8, Mansfield Texas - These buildings feature 30,916 SF of retail space. The shells were constructed with CMU concrete blocks.
- Building F, Mansfield Texas - Provides 10,932 SF of retail space; the shell was constructed with CMU concrete blocks and engineered light gauge metal studs. The building is finished in a stone veneer to match the other retail stores in Mansfield Town Center West. It includes a 56’ tower, with an intricate main entry façade that incorporates three different elevations into one building. The main entry is completely EIFS and Cultured Stone masonry.
- Building H, Mansfield Texas - Features 22,100 SF of retail space; the shell was constructed with CMU concrete blocks. The building is finished in a stone veneer to match the other retail stores in Mansfield Town Center West.
- Michaels Crafts and Hobby Supplies Store, Mansfield Texas - This new retail 22,000 SF location was constructed in 12" CMU blocks to match the style of the other stores in Mansfield Town Center West. It features a 1,639 SF mezzanine, and a material handling conveyor. Along with the retail space is a classroom for hobbyists to learn crafting techniques.
