Lincoln Property Company called on General Contractor Bob Moore Construction to deliver Legacy IV, a project that included three flex tech shell buildings in Plano, Texas, just north of Dallas in the DFW Metroplex. Legacy IV was the final phase of a 15-building project that started in 1998.
The Legacy IV flex tech buildings feature extensive windowing all around the structures. Two of the three buildings were designed as offset rather than rectangular structures, creating extra entries in these buildings. Each Legacy IV flex tech building features canopies over the entries, a sprinkler system and a four-ply built up roof. Approximately 600 feet of graduated stone gravity retaining walls were created to offset the varying topography of the site. These flex tech buildings were created using tilt-up construction, and ultimately will house a variety of office, call center, warehouse or light manufacturing businesses.
This project was submitted for the Environmental Star of Excellence Award Green Building category by the Commercial Recycling Coordinator for the City of Plano, Texas.
