Sherwin-Williams Distribution Center
Waco, Texas (McLennan County)
Architect: WSI Architects
Developer/Owner: Bradford Companies
Approximate Size: 440,000 SF
With
more than 10 acres under roof, Bob Moore Construction built this Sherwin-Williams
Distribution Center in only 166 days. In addition to the warehouse area,
the facility contains a 60,000 SF liquid cutoff room for storage of environmentally
sensitive liquids. This room is capable of containing large, industrial
spills. Also, a 20,000 SF separate building was built for highly flammable
storage. The environmental and fire protection controls of this facility
include a full foam sprinkler system and a 1.5 million gallon liquid spill
containment. The Sherwin-Williams Distribution Center is an excellent example
of the safety and security that can be built into a tilt-up building.
Sherwin-Williams has been manufacturing and selling coatings and related products for 125 years with subsidiary companies stretching from Brazil to the West Indies. This facility serves Sherwin-Williams retail stores throughout 11 south central states.
