Col-Met Spray Booths Expands to New Facility in Rockwall, Texas
Bob Moore Construction Completes 131,000 SF Manufacturing, Office and
Warehouse Building

25, 2004 - ARLINGTON, TEXAS - In early April, Col-Met Spray Booths,
Inc. will move into a new 131,000 square-foot facility in the Rockwall Technology
Park in Rockwall, Texas.
Col-Met will use the building for the manufacture of industrial paint booths and paint lines. With the new building, Col-Met's manufacturing space will be increased from 45,000 to 125,000 square feet, housing two full-time production shifts. The new office area will be used for sales, operations and customer service.
The new building includes 10,876 square feet of office space and a 6,852 square-foot mezzanine over the office area. The entrance ways are finished in stainless steel, and the office and reception areas feature matching steel reveal throughout. The warehouse features 11 dock-high overhead doors, two grade-level overhead doors, and an exterior, fully enclosed staging yard. Located on 8.5 acres, the property will include parking for 239 cars.
Hardy McCullah/MLM Architects designed and Bob Moore Construction built the facility for James Collier Properties, Inc., on behalf of Col-Met.
"Col-Met
is a widely recognized company that needed a quality building from which
to conduct their business," said Curt Hellen, Senior Project Manager

challenges due to the existing topography. We used a partnering approach
with the subcontractors to overcome those and achieve a high-quality end
product for Col-Met."
This building represented the first Bob Moore Construction project for James Collier Properties. "We had several companies bid on this project," said Jim Collier, owner of James Collier Properties. "The bids were pretty close. It got down to who we were most comfortable with. We chose Bob Moore Construction and I'm glad we did. They did a great job on the building. The project was completed on schedule and we'll be ready for the clients to move in the first week of April."
The office area and reception/showcase area (shown above)
is finished with carpet and tiling and a stainless steel reveal throughout.
The manufacturing area features 11 dock-high overhead doors, two grade-level
overhead doors, and an exterior, fully enclosed staging yard.
