Bob Moore Construction Raises $10,000 for Hurricane Relief
Arlington, Texas general contractor and employees make major donation
to American Red Cross
October 8, 2004 - ARLINGTON, TEXAS - Bob Moore Construction, a leading general contractor in Dallas, Fort Worth and north Texas, has donated $10,000 of employee and company contributions to the American Red Cross Hurricane Relief Fund.
In August and September, 2004, the United States suffered the worst hurricane season in more than 100 years. Four hurricanes lay waste to the eastern half of the US, resulting in an estimated 120 deaths and $29 - $40 billion in damages. Hardest hit was the state of Florida, which was Ground Zero for three of the four storm's initial landfalls. The fourth hurricane - Ivan - made landfall in Alabama but wreaked havoc in Florida's northwest panhandle. More than 80 Floridians lost their lives as a result of these storms, and hundreds of thousands of residents lost their homes, endured weeks without electricity or suffered devastation to their businesses, roads and bridges and entire communities.
In an effort to help the people affected by these storms, Bob Moore Construction offered their employees a donation program, where every dollar given to the relief fund would be matched by the company. As a result, the company was pleased to present a check for $10,000 to the American Red Cross in late September.

"In the past several weeks our employees watched the storms roll in, saw the devastation and terrible ordeal their fellow citizens endured. The members of our team wanted to help. As a result, Bob Moore Construction was able to deliver a significant contribution to the American Red Cross relief effort, to help fellow Americans return their lives to some semblance of normalcy.
