Bob Moore Construction Employees Receive Achievement Awards for Fort Worth Construction Project

Mercantile Center, Fort Worth, Texas
ARLINGTON,
TEXAS - December 1, 2006 - Two Bob Moore Construction employees - Steve Barrons,
Site Superintendent, and David Splawn, Assistant Superintendent - were recently
recognized with Texas Star Achievement Awards.
The award recognized Barrons' and Splawn's accomplishments during the construction of Kysor Panel Systems manufacturing facility and distribution center in Mercantile Center located in northwest Fort Worth. The award citation recognized the recipients' personal contributions resulting in the project's success: "Forward Thinking, Pursuit of Excellence with Spirit, Style and Substance".
Barbara A. Fife, Vice President-Development for Mercantile Partners, L.P. spearheaded the awards, pointing to Barrons' and Splawn's remarkable performance which led to a successful completion of the project a week ahead of schedule and within budget. "Having been in the development and construction industry for over three decades, I know that the individual efforts of field personnel are rarely recognized," said Ms. Fife. "Steve and David exhibited loyalty, dedication and forward-thinking that was instrumental in leading this project to a successful and early conclusion."

Ms.
Fife agreed. "I was told long ago that a good project is one that allows
every participant to win and contribute to the process," she said. "The
Kysor Panel Systems building was such a project because of the attitude and cooperation
between the various entities."
Along with Mercantile Partners, the awards were enthusiastically and financially supported by David Frase, Kysor Panel Systems; project architect Mark Pross, AIA of Pross Design Group; and the MEP Design-Build Team: Alan Smith of Smithco; Gerald Jordan of Hurst Electric; and Marney Snow of S&T Plumbing.
"We all agreed that Steve and David did an excellent job," said David Frase, President of Kysor Panel Systems. "You couldn't ask for better project management of a construction project than what they provided. KPS wanted to participate in their recognition."
"Kysor Panel Systems was very pleased to work with professional organizations like Mercantile Partners and Bob Moore Construction," added Marion Brown, Vice President and General Manager of Kysor Panel Systems. "That professionalism was well demonstrated by Barbara Fife and the people with Mercantile Partners, and by Steve and David from Bob Moore Construction. We were pleased to take part in their recognition."
"I was pleased when I realized I was receiving this recognition," said Steve Barrons. "I have a long, very positive history with Mercantile Center. I did the first Bob Moore Construction job at Mercantile Center 15 years ago, and when I heard I was coming back to do this one I was really happy. We had a cooperative owner and tenant, and good subs like Hurst Electric, S&T and Smithco Engineering who really came through. David Splawn too, he was a great help. When we planned this project I set up a series of schedule milestones to keep us on track, and these guys met or beat every one of those dates. That's how we ended up completing the project a week early."
The awards were presented at a surprise banquet following the early completion of the project. Representatives from Mercantile Partners, Kysor Panel Systems, Bob Moore Construction and the project team participated in the event. Barrons and Splawn received trophies and gifts during the presentation.
