Bob Moore Construction Completes Cornerstone 1 Distribution Center in Flower Mound, Texas
New Building Offers 651,000
SF of Space for Lease in the Heart of Dallas / Fort Worth Metroplex
ARLINGTON,
TEXAS - June 4, 2007 - Located in the center of the Dallas / Fort Worth Metroplex
and within ten miles of two major airports, the city of Flower Mound has become
one of the fastest growing cities in Texas.
In response to this growth, Flaherty Development recently completed a new 651,000 SF Cornerstone 1 Distribution Center in Flower Mound's Lakeside Industrial Business Park. "In working with my capital relationships we looked at the continued strong demand and controlled supply in the north DFW market," said Brian Flaherty of Flaherty Development. "We felt like the timing was good for the project in Flower Mound."
Bob Moore Construction was general contractor for Cornerstone 1; Alliance Architects was the architect and Pacheco-Koch was the civil engineer.
The new Cornerstone 1 building features a 32-foot clear structure and extensive stonework and finishing at all four corner entrances. "Our specific focus was to make sure this project met Flower Mound's high quality standards," Flaherty explained. "To do this we used extensive stone on the corners while maximizing the loading doors throughout the building for distribution. We also significantly increased the building's hardscape and landscape aspects, increased fire lanes to 33 feet to improve logistics flow and incorporated trailer parking at the back of the building."

"The building turned out great, as I expected it would," said Flaherty. "In spite of a huge rainy season, we got Cornerstone 1 completed successfully. Our capital partners are very happy with it as well; I believe it certainly sets a new standard for industrial space in the local marketplace.
