Long-time Bob Moore Construction partner Somervell Commercial Realty has agreed to serve as the development manager for Atlanta-based developer Stonemont Financial Group on a new industrial project near McKinney Airport in McKinney, Texas.
Designed by Callaway Architecture with Bob Moore Construction serving as General Contractor, McKinney Airport Center is a two-building 230,000 square foot industrial complex.
Jesse Pruitt, principal of Somervell Commercial, said “We have designed the project for industrial tenants that need space from 10,000 square feet to 20,000 square feet.”
While industrial construction has seen a boom in Tarrant, Dallas and Denton counties in recent years, Collin County has seen significantly less construction in the sector due to high costs of land in the county. McKinney Airport Center is one of several new industrial developments in Southeast McKinney, building on land formerly zoned as residential.
The project kicked off in the early-summer 2020 and is expected to reach completion in early 2021.
