Somervell Commercial Realty called on Bob Moore Construction to serve as general contractor for a new 266,000 SF spec distribution center along SH 161 in Grand Prairie.
The building is constructed with tilt-up construction, with tan coating and decorative reveals. It features four dramatic entrances along the west side, decorated with stone façade and aluminum awnings, to support multiple tenants. The east side of the building has 46 9’x10’ docks. The interior features a 28’ clear height and a 210′ depth, designed with the size flexibility to support tenants of all sizes.
The project included paving around the building with a truck lane on the east side that ties in to Trinity Blvd and car parking that ties into the SH 161 access road. 150 new parking spaces support the employees who will work in the building.
The jobsite was sandwiched between SH 161’s access road and an active trucking company. As a result, our crews were forced to control deliveries and work processes to avoid interruptions to the constant flow of traffic around the jobsite.
